The competition will feature top figure skaters from around the world competing in the disciplines of men's and women's singles, pairs, and ice dance.

The Nebelhorn Trophy is an important event in the figure skating calendar as it is one of the few competitions that offer qualifying spots for the upcoming ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series and the ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
