The Clone Wars Finale Revealed Ahsoka's Role in Maul's Survival

Ahsoka and Maul Teamed Up to Escape Order 66

The Clone Wars, a popular animated television series, showcased the events leading up to the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. In the series finale, fans learned the fate of Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Padawan, and Darth Maul, a former Sith Lord. Despite leaving the Jedi Order, Ahsoka was still targeted by Order 66, a command issued by Darth Sidious to eliminate all Jedi. Maul, who had been presumed dead after the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, was also marked for death.

Ahsoka and Maul found themselves working together to escape Order 66. They managed to outsmart the clone troopers sent to kill them and escaped the Republic with the help of the Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze. Maul went into hiding on the planet Malachor, while Ahsoka adopted a new identity.

Maul's Return in Rebels

Darth Maul's survival was later confirmed in Star Wars Rebels, a sequel series to The Clone Wars. In the show, Maul was revealed to be alive and well during the events of the Galactic Civil War, which took place roughly 15 years after Order 66. He played a major role in the early seasons of Rebels, often crossing paths with Ahsoka.
